Late this week, a powerful cold front, driven by an intense low-pressure system, will move across the country. This powerful storm system will bring additional precipitation, mainly in the mountains, but MUCH colder air beyond.

FIRST WARNING: A wintry mix of sleet and snow is possible at elevations above 3,500 feet, with light snow accumulations in places like the Greenbrier Valley and Snowshoe Mountain. Some of that activity could also have minor impacts on hometowns west of I-77. We’ll have a better idea of ​​how this will shape up soon, so check back later!
