Famous Country Singer Arrested for Drug and Speeding: Details on Jamey Johnson’s Incident

A popular figure in the country music genre is now facing multiple charges in Tennessee. Tennessee Highway Patrol officers arrested Jamey Johnson, the modern outlaw country singer, on Sunday for alleged drug possession and speeding, according to Nashville CBS affiliate Channel 5.

The law enforcement agency confirmed the arrest took place in Williamson County, a county that borders Nashville/Davidson County and includes the suburb of Franklin. According to the THP statement, “the incident remains under investigation.” His bail was $500,000; it is unclear when or if he was released.

Jamey Johnson has not commented on the arrest at the time of writing. Currently, his only social media activity on Monday was an Instagram Story post about Bill Anderson’s new music video.
