Myles Turner: ‘I feel like I’m some kind of energy sucker’

Coach Carlisle and center Myles Turner walk together up the circular driveway from Madison Square Garden to the event level and talk about music and their lives off the court. Carlisle saw five-time Grammy Award winner Robert Glasper, a jazz musician and fellow pianist, at the Blue Note in Manhattan the night before. As the couple walked up the driveway, Carlisle asked Turner if he knew Glasper. Turner didn’t know his music, but told Carlisle he would definitely give it a listen. “I greatly admire Myles Turner as a man with a broad and eclectic taste in music,” Carlisle said. “When he plugs his music into the sound system in the weight room, you hear everything from rap to R&B; to country and even Taylor Swift.” -via HoopsHype / November 12, 2024
