Kelly Clarkson fans are crying tears of joy over the latest career news

Kelly Clarkson had such a merry time hosting the 2023 Rockefeller Christmas Tree lighting that she’s back for another year of cheerful and clever shenanigans.

On Monday, November 4, the 42-year-old singer and TV personality announced that she will be back under the tree as a presenter of Christmas at Rockefeller Center LIVE on Wednesday, December 4 at 8pm ET on NBC, with streaming available on Peacock.

“Let’s talk about this incredible time of year: the city is so magical,” she told the audience in an episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show. “I love the holidays in New York. Living here during Christmas is like being in a movie. There is nothing like it in the world, especially the tree lighting ceremony, an iconic tradition just outside this building. I got to host it last year and thought, “Oh, this is going to be fun” (I host things sometimes), so I thought, “Oh, this is going to be cool.” And the tree lit up and you would have thought: I don’t know… I was clench… it’s so beautiful when you stand there… I was suddenly in a Charlie Brown movie and it was magical.’

As evident from the cheers in the crowd and the comments on Instagram, fans agree that there’s nothing better than Christmas in New York, especially when Kelly is part of the festivities.

“This makes me so happy! Kelly, you embody Christmas and bring so much joy to others by being authentically you,” one fan exclaimed. “I was there at the rink when you looked at the Christmas tree. Can’t wait to see you from the audience again, Kelly,” another fan shared. “Kelly, I am literally crying for joy right now. I was hoping so much that you would come back. This time I can see it live and I’m so glad you’re there too! A dream come true,” someone else commented. “Kelly Clarkson IS CHRISTMAS,” another fan commented.
