SLC Puck podcast: Record-seeking Ovechkin ready for first appearance in Utah

SALT LAKE CITY – The Utah Hockey Club followed its best game of the season, a thrilling victory over the Carolina Hurricanes, with a disappointment against the Vegas Golden Knights in a 4-2 loss on Friday night at Delta Center.

SLC Puck! host Austin Facer believes this is simply a learning opportunity for a young team just figuring out how to compete with the big boys.

Looking ahead, Utah welcomes back one of the game’s future all-timers, Washington Capitals forward Alex Ovechkin. The 39-year-old is in the hunt for the all-time record and is likely nearing the end of his career. Even with a few years left on his contract, this could be his only appearance in Salt Lake City.

Buy your tickets now, says Facer. You won’t want to miss the soon-to-be greatest goal scorer in hockey history, live and in person.
