Marcello Hernandez appeared at Sabrina Carpenter’s concert as his ‘SNL’ character Domingo

It’s just the “Espresso” effect. After Sabrina Carpenter Short and sweet The first single became the song of the summer, the song made waves again when it was parodied in a hilarious way Saturday evening live sketch featuring Ariana Grande and cast member Marcello Hernandez as Domingo. Since Ari’s episode aired, the skit became just as big a hit as the original song — and of course, comedy queen Sabrina had to get in on the action.

With her Short and sweet During the show at the Kia Forum in LA, Sabrina Marcello presented during her pink handcuffs segment to introduce ‘Juno’. In it, she chooses someone from the crowd to “arrest” because he is too hot. Previous shows have featured stars like Millie Bobby Brown and Rachel Sennott, but this time it was none other than Domingo himself. Marcello withdrew his character, and may I say I have no comments on this?

“My name is Domingo,” he said before Sabrina asked where he was from. “I’m from Miami, honey,” he replied playfully before she joked, “Miami? I wish you would come out of my bedroom. What are you doing later tonight?’

He then referenced her hit song “Bed Chem” and said, “I’m the cute boy with the blue jacket and the thick accent.” When Sabrina asked if he had any last words, he broke into the viral SNL parody while the audience immediately sang along. We just love seeing a full circle moment!

Domingo’s dominance continued on screen this weekend SNL brought back Marcello’s beloved character in a follow-up sketch with host and musical guest Charli XCX. The group performed a rendition of Chappell Roan’s “Hot to Go!” during Kelsey’s (played by Chloe Fineman) baby shower before Domingo crashed it.
