Sabrina Carpenter announces ‘A Nonsense Christmas’ special on Netflix

Sabrina Carpenter has unveiled the trailer for A Nonsense Christmas with Sabrina Carpenter during the final night of her Short n’ Sweet US tour on Monday night.

“Christmas is coming early this year,” the pop star says at the start of the teaser. “I wouldn’t count on a quiet night.”

Netflix previously announced plans for the special in September. The musical extravaganza will feature a star-studded list of guests including Chappell Roan, Tyla, Shania Twain, Kali Uchis, Quinta Brunson, Cara Delevingne, Kyle Mooney, Nico Hiraga, Megan Stalter, Sean Astin, Owen Thiele and Jillian Bell.

“It’s a bullshit holiday and we’re so here for it,” reads the logline, an homage to Carpenter’s famous song “Nonsense.”

“In this special with musical guests, pop icon Sabrina Carpenter will perform songs from her holiday EP fruitcake and other iconic Christmas covers that have topped the charts,” the release continues. “This special also features breathtaking musical performances, comedic guests, unexpected duets, plus many more surprises and fun cameos.”

Carpenter’s Short n’ Sweet tour kicked off in September with a performance in Columbus, Ohio. Although the American leg ends on Monday evening, it will start in Europe in March next year.

A Nonsense Christmas with Sabrina Carpenter premieres on Netflix on December 6 at 6pm PT/9pm ET. The show is produced by OBB Pictures and At Last Productions and directed by Sam Wrench. Nikki Boella is the showrunner.
